BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
A Team That Knows How to Have Fun
Aquatic Development Group, Inc., a leading manufacturer of equipment and systems for commercial and public swimming pools, waterparks and aquatic facility construction is seeking an individual to join its team as a Business Development Manager in the Midwest territory. This position would be based within the territory and would report to our headquarters in Cohoes, NY.
The individual selected will be responsible for the development of new sales as well as maintaining existing accounts for ADGs commercial equipment systems division within the Midwest territory. Responsibilities include managing the efforts of the independent sales Agents, identification, and development of equipment sales opportunities within the commercial and public swimming pool and aquatic facility marketplace.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in a technical or engineering field, will have significant sales experience in the commercial and public swimming pool industry or specification oriented commercial construction product sales, be familiar with reading and understanding construction documents, knowledge and exposure to the public bidding process and proven experience promoting products through architects, engineers, consultants and commercial contractors. Experience working with independent sales agents or representatives is considered a plus.
This position will be located in the Midwest with travel within the territory, as well as regular travel to our upstate New York headquarters.
Compensation is an annual salary, plus personal incentives based on sales success. The company offers excellent medical, 401k and standard benefits.

PURCHASING / PROCUREMENT

Position requires Sound Knowledge/Experience of and Purchasing Processes such as development of quote packages, supplier selection, supplier awards, elements of contracts, contract negotiation and supply chain management. Candidates should possess excellent Quantitative Analysis Skills and a general technical background to understand various pool and pool supply components and related issues. The candidate must have strong communication skills, be organized, very detailed oriented and proactive. Must be good with numbers, calculations, and forecasting. Experience with computers and an interest in product merchandising & overseas importing are a plus.
Primary responsibilities include:
Develops company-wide policies, procedures and objectives for the operation of the purchasing program in accordance with corporate strategy
Leads contract negotiations with new and existing vendors.
Establish and maintain appropriate inventories to meet customer demand.
Creating and issuing purchase orders per corporate guidelines for product as needed and following-up.
Creating forecasts and coordinating schedules for the vendors to ensure correct quantity of products are delivered when and where required and that inventory goals are met.
Assisting in investigating quality issues as needed and taking the lead in negotiating resolution with vendors.
Coordinating new product releases between, marketing and customer service.
Negotiating terms of vendor stocking programs and delivery flexibility.
Receiving merchandise and putting it into the computer system
Replenishment process of international and domestic purchases.
Maintains, issues, and designs vendor and item purchased analysis reports. Tracks and reports on vendor or supplier related issues.
Minimal travel may be required
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field and at least three (3) years procurement experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Pool and spa experience is preferred.
